President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday warned that death awaits anybody who foments trouble during the rescheduled general election as he has ordered security operatives to be “ruthless.” Nigeria’s commander-in-chief made this declaration while addressing a meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in Abuja.

4. Nigeria Decides: Inec Speaks On Allowing Political Parties Resume Campaign

The Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) has lifted the ban on campaigns by political parties ahead of the 2019 elections. The lifting of the ban was revealed on Monday by a National Commissioner with the INEC and Chairman, Committee on Information and Voter Education Festus Okoye.

In other Nigerian newspaper headlines stories, the wife of the Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari, has applauded her husband for warning that death awaits anybody who foments trouble during the rescheduled general elections. A former presidential aide Reno Omokri has said he would provide free buses for voters ahead to travel to their destination during the rescheduled 2019 elections. Omokri revealed this on Monday in a tweet on his handle where he noted that the buses will take the voters to their destinations irrespective of political affiliations.

7. Nigeria Decides: Former APC Secretary Reveals Party’s Shocking Plan For Inec

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC)Timi Frank has raised the alarm over plots to rig the rescheduled 2019 elections. In a statement on Monday, Frank alleged that there are plans to bomb “the INEC headquarters in Abuja.”

8. 2019 UTME: Jamb Speaks On Use Of Devices During Exam

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (Jamb) has insisted that candidates will not use electronic devices during the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). Jamb said this in a statement in Abuja on Sunday where it added that such not less than 1.8 million candidates would be registered for its 2019 UTME by the end of the registration.

9. Tinubu Admits Saying He Was Richer Than Osun State

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, insists he is richer than Osun State validating the statement he was reported to have made during the run-up to the Osun State governorship election last year. This comes months after Tinubu’s media team had claimed the APC chieftain was quoted out of context.

10. FA Cup Result As Man United Destroy Chelsea

French star Paul Pogba grabbed a goal as Manchester United saw off Chelsea 2-0 in a fifth-round 2019 FA Cup encounter on Monday. Andrea Herera handed United the lead in the 31st minute of the clash played at the Stamford Bridge.
