Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has joined a number of football personalities who have slammed Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci for his comments on the racist abuse suffered by Italian-player of Ivorian descent Moise Kean.

The 19-year-old was at the receiving end of racist chants by some fans of Cagliari in their 2-0 defeat to Juventus on Tuesday.
Kean in response to the abuse stood with arms aloft after scoring a late goal for Juventus.
Leonardo Bonucci in a post-match attempted to justify the unfortunate act by the fans and blamed his colleague for instigating the act.

“There were racist jeers after the goal, Blaise [Matuidi] heard it and was angered. I think the blame is 50-50, because Moise shouldn’t have celebrated like that, and the Curva (stand) should not have reacted that way.”
This comments have angered a lot of football personalities who have openly blasted him from throwing his colleague under the bus and defending racism.

Ivorian player Yaya Toure described the comments as ‘disgraceful’ and ‘unbelievable’.
Leon Balogun has in a tweet offered support to Moise Kean and taken a swipe at Bonucci for not speaking against racism.
Balogun tweeted “We’re standing united behind you brother #MoiseKean Wondering how @bonucci_leo19 would react if you do the same thing in front of him after scoring your next goal”
