The Nigerian Police has disclosed the force received a condolence visit from ex Nigeria International football player, Nwankwu Kanu.




According to a post on the force’s official Twitter page, the ex Super Eagles captain was there to condole with the Nigerian Police over the death of three of its officers, killed in Taraba by the Nigerian Army.


“PHOTONEWS: Ex-Int’l, Kanu Nwankwo,MON today Aug. 22, 2019, paid a condolence visit to IGP M.A. Adamu, NPM,mni over the unfortunate death of three police officers and two civilians in Taraba State. He presented the IGP customized jerseys emblazoned with names of the fallen heroes” the force tweeted with photographs.

Recall that Three police officers and two civilians were killed by the army while escorting a Kidnapped kingpin, popularly known as Wadume from Taraba to the force headquarters in Abuja.

The Kidnapper has since been rearrested.
